FAQs for Practitioners

  • If they're using our system, your territory is protected—we only license one Guide per region. If they're using a different system, you're still good to go! Our videography technology, software, and business model are unique, so you won't be direct competitors. Plus, the demand is massive—there's room for quality providers, especially as aura readings become more mainstream. I have plenty of clients who love comparing and contrasting the readings from both types of imaging! There is room for everybody to eat at this table.

  • Absolutely! Many of our Guides bring an assistant to help with flow at busy events—taking payments, managing the line, helping with setup. However, only licensed Guides can operate the camera and provide interpretations. If you want to train someone else to become a Guide, they'll need to complete a training with me and have a sub-license.

  • Life happens! If you need to pause your subscription for a month or two (moving, having a baby, seasonal break), just let us know and we'll work with you. If you decide to stop permanently, you can cancel anytime—you own the hardware and you can sell it or we can buy it back to keep it out of the landfill, but the software access ends with your subscription.

  • Not at all! If you can use Zoom and follow a pancake recipe, you can use Soma Lumin software. The system is designed to be plug-and-play. Our onboarding training walks you through setup step-by-step, and our Slack community is full of Guides who've been exactly where you are. Plus, tech support is included in your monthly subscription.

  • You'll need:

    • A computer (Mac or PC, nothing fancy—we'll send you specs). If you can play sims on it, you can run Soma Lumin on it

    • A backdrop or clean wall space

    • Optional but recommended: a portable photo printer for instant prints (there are great ones from ~$50-180, we recommend a few based on your taste in our Slack during onboarding)

  • Most Guides are booking their first paid sessions within 2-4 weeks of receiving their kit. The technical setup takes a few hours to master. The intuitive interpretation piece? That's where your existing gifts shine. If you're already reading energy, doing bodywork, or practicing divination, you'll feel at home immediately. We also provide interpretation frameworks and color meanings to support you as you develop your own style. Once you buy your camera, you receive it within 30 days. We have a 30 day plan to get you ready to go once your camera arrives!

  • Yes! Weddings, bachelorette parties, corporate wellness days, and private events are some of the most lucrative bookings. Guides typically charge $800-2,000+ for private events depending on duration and guest count. We provide many event package templates and tips for booking these higher-ticket gigs :)

  • When you fill out the application form, include your city/region in the message. We'll confirm availability and let you know if your area is open. If your first choice is taken, we can often work with you on nearby regions. The goal is to set you up for success with enough demand and zero local competition from other Soma Lumin Guides.
